Why sustainability is so important to our company!

Sustainability is a principle according to which the consumed amount should not exceed what is able to be grown back, generated, or made available again in the future.

As people, we can only progress when our environment is complete.

This is why we need to be conscious that our actions of today establish a protected environment for tomorrow.

Practicing sustainability ensures that future generations are not worse off and that they can meet their needs on this Earth, just as our generation does today.

We combine sustainability with our highest quality standards. We have developed different product lines that are made from alternatives to conventional plastic.

Green Line

These products are 97% made out of the biobased plastic Biofibre® Silva. Only renewable raw materials are used (no fossil raw materials). As a result, these products have a much lower carbon footprint then products made out of conventional plastics.
This material is DIN CERTO certified.

PCR – was ist das?

PCR steht für Post-consumer-recyceled material – das bedeutet PCR –Materialien sind wiederaufbereitete Kunststoffe, welche aus Haushalts- oder Gewerblichen Abfällen bezogen werden, wobei der größte Teil davon aus Verpackungen besteht.

Warum ist PCR gut für die Umwelt?

PCR ist aus mehreren Gründen Umweltschonend:

Es spart natürliche Ressourcen, woraus folgt, dass zusätzlich weniger CO² Ausstoß der Öl-Produktion stattfindet
Ein neues Produkt wird hergestellt, anstatt das ein altes auf eine Deponie kommt, im Ozean entsorgt wird, oder in einer Müllverbrennungsanlage verbrannt wird, wobei es zu mehr CO² Ausstoß kommt
Plastik, welches in der Natur (z.B. im Ozean) entsorgt wird, zersetzt sich zu Micro-Plastik, welches mit dem bloßen Auge nicht erkennbar ist, und landet schlussendlich in unserer Nahrungskette. Durch Recyceln wird dies vermieden.

Die Anspitzer und Lineale KUM Green Line in den trendigen Farben sind nicht nur attraktiv und bieten den hohen KUM Qualitätssstandard, sondern leisten auch noch einen Beitrag zum Umweltschautz. Hergestellt werden sie aus zu 80% recyceltem Kunststoff.
