KUM Meisterwerk | Long cone in a new dimension
The KUM Meisterwerk offers what artists and real pencil enthusiasts realy need.
Sharpening takes place in two phases:
Phase 1 – only the wood of the pencil is removed. The removal of the shavings is set to a TC system, the so-called Thin Cut.
Phase 2 – the lead is sharpened and formed. The goal is to obtain a long and precise pencil tip.
The result is a conical shaping based on 8 degrees.
Prerequisite for this perfection:
– centred lead
– first-class wood
Second and third quality pens fail here.
The KUM® Meisterwerk is delivered in a plastic case, with an individual neoprene pouch and two replacement blades.
An extraordinary Sharpener
– Handmade in Germany
The KUM® Meisterwerk passes through eight quality checks, during the production process… Nothing is left to chance.
Special blades and quality tests after every single production step combined with superb craftsmanship guarantee the uniqueness of this sharpener.
- Made out of the high-tech material magnesium
- Advantages of magnesium: the material is not only lightweight, but also ensures the perfect fit of the blades
- Blades are made of finely ground hard carbon steel – with a hardness of more than 62 hrc, the steel used is much harder than high-quality kitchen knives (approx. 55 hrc)
- Dynamic Torsion Action® prevents the tip of the pen from breaking, as the blades are under permanent tension
